Who sends the "integration issue detected" email?
This alert is sent by the Riot platform, from the address [email protected] (Riot's email address, used for all transactional emails). It is not sent by your identity provider (Okta, Microsoft, etc.).
Its purpose is to notify workspace admins when one of your integrations encounters a problem. The provider's name appears in the subject line (for example "Okta integration issue detected"), but the email is generated by Riot.
These alerts apply to synchronisation integrations, Sonar integrations, and compliance integrations.
How often are these emails sent?
There is no fixed or scheduled frequency (it is not a daily or weekly send). The behaviour is event-driven: the alert is triggered the moment a problem is detected.
In practice, you receive one alert per detected incident, not repeated reminders for the same ongoing problem.
A new alert is only generated if a new issue is detected, for example during a later synchronisation attempt.
Can I choose whether I receive these notifications?
Yes. In your notification settings, you can choose, for this type of event, to: receive the alert immediately (as soon as the event happens), receive it in your monthly digest (summarised in the monthly report), or turn it off.
To change your notifications, log in to the Riot platform, click your profile at the bottom left, then open the Notifications tab. You can also disable all notification emails.
What should I do when I receive a failed-integration notification?
Open the integration concerned in your Riot workspace settings to check its status. If the integration requires it, reconnect it so that synchronisation can resume. Once the problem is resolved, no further alert is sent for that incident.
