A public LinkedIn profile says a great deal: full name, photo, job title, employer. That is exactly what an attacker needs to build a credible attack aimed at one specific person. The LinkedIn digital footprint course helps your employees reduce that exposure.

The course is part of Awareness. It explains to your employees why an over-exposed profile is a risk, and gives them Riot's recommendations to protect it.
2️⃣ What changes depending on your plan
👉 You have Sonar
Taking action and tracking are handled by the Sonar rule "Over-exposed LinkedIn profiles": Riot finds the employee's profile, asks them to secure it in one task, checks the result, and you follow the share of secured profiles in Sonar.
This rule replaces the two former LinkedIn tasks (add their profile, reduce their footprint). If an employee has already entered their profile URL in the course, the rule reuses it.
👉 You only have Awareness
Your employees still follow the course and its recommendations. However, they do not receive a reminder task to secure their profile.

3️⃣ The LinkedIn field in the portal
👍 Good to know: the LinkedIn profile field is always shown on your employees' records in the employee portal, whether or not the digital footprint course is part of your programme. Removing the course from the programme does not remove the field.
