Set Up and Modify the Notification Channel

This article explains how to change the channel through which your employees will receive their cyber notifications.

1️⃣ What is a notification channel ?

Notifications are sent to employees to:

  • Indicate that a new course is available

  • Remind of upcoming courses

  • Alert after a DLP scan using our Sonar module

  • Alert after a data breach

You have two ways to notify your employees:

  1. By email

  2. By chat: Slack, Teams or Google Chat

2️⃣ Set up your notification channel :

💡 Prerequisite : Ensure you have already synchronized your Microsoft AD or Google Workspace / Slack

👉 How to do it ?

  • Go to Settings > Notifications

  • Select the channel where you're certain your employees will see all notifications

  • Email notification: No action needed, the email channel is selected by default

  • Chat notification: Connect your preferred chat tool

  • Change your main notification channel: Click the “…” of your preferred channel and select "Set as main channel"

👍 Good to know : If you set a chat tool as the main channel but an employee doesn't have an account on that tool, they will receive the notification by email.

3️⃣ Modify the notification channel for specific employees:

You have two ways to proceed:

  • By selecting one or more employees

  • By selecting an entire group

👉 Modify the notification channel for one or more employees

  • Go to the Team tab

  • Select the employee(s)

  • Click on Change channel

👉 Modify the notification channel by employee group

  • Go to Team > Groups

  • Select the relevant group

  • Select the employee(s) within the group

  • Click on Change channel
