Alert my employee on breaches

This article explains how the Breaches module works, and how to effectively alert your employees to potential risks.

Updated over 4 months ago

1️⃣ Data breaches / info stealers

👉 Overview of the ‘Breaches’ module (administrator)

You have access to a dashboard that lists all alerts related to data breaches and info stealers. You can filter by criticality, status and date.

👉 ‘Breaches’ module settings (administrator)

2 options available :

  • Notifications: decide if your employees should be notified immediately by Albert when a new breach/info stealer is detected (recommended by Riot)

  • Personal address monitoring: give your employees the option of having their personal email addresses checked for breaches and info stealers (recommended by Riot).

👍 Good to know: You will have no visibility of alerts linked to these personal addresses. They will be completely anonymous. Only the employee will be notified, via Albert and/or their portal.

👉 From the app.tryriot.com portal (employee)

From their individual portal, each employee will have a summary of the breaches detected on their email addresses, both professional and personal.

They will be able to take action to mark the breach as resolved and earn the associated Karma points.

2️⃣ Notify my colleagues manually

In addition to the automatic notifications (see the ‘settings’ section above), you can trigger the sending of a notification for a specific breach:

  1. Click on a breach/info stealer

👍 Good to know: From this panel, you will have access to many additional details about the breach: origin, number of profiles affected, compromised information, status of the employees concerned, etc.

2. Click on ‘Inform employees’. You will send a notification to all the employees concerned, or making a manual selection.

👍 Good to know: You can also create a phishing campaign directly from the breach.

The people concerned will be automatically selected from the campaign audience and an AI-generated template will be proposed.
