Communication between Riot (and especially Albert) and the employee
The language of Albert's courses
❶ Setting the Default Language for the Riot Workspace
First, it’s important to configure the default language for each employee.
This language will be applied if no information is provided via synchronization with your AD/Workspace.
Go to Settings > Workforce > Preferred Language
❷ Changing the Language for One or Multiple Employees
Each employee’s language is retrieved from your AD/Workspace, or from imported CSV file, and transmitted to Riot during synchronization. You can view these settings in the Team tab:

If you wish to change the language for one or more employees, follow these steps:
Select the desired employee(s).
Click Change language.
Once a new language is selected, it will only update the language settings within Riot.
👉 Change language by group of individuals
You can change the communication language of a group of employees by going directly into the group and selecting some or all of the people in that group, then clicking on change language.
👍 Good to know : There is also a separate setting for the language of your Riot workspace. This can be changed by clicking on your name in the application.
❸ When an employee changes their own language
Your employees can ask Albert to speak to them in another language. When that happens, Albert offers to update the language on their Riot account for good, rather than switching just for that one conversation.
If the employee accepts, their language is changed in Riot: their next courses and notifications reach them in that language.
If the request comes up during a course, Albert carries on with the course in the new language without restarting it.
❹ Formal or informal tone?
Separately from the language itself, you can choose the tone Riot uses with your employees. Ask your account manager or our support team to enable formal mode on your workspace, and Albert will address your employees more formally, with emojis removed from his messages.
