4️⃣ Employee Side

In this article, discover how Cyber Missions present themselves to your employees.

☝️ If you don’t have access to Cyber Missions yet, that’s normal. The update to this new system is coming very soon.

❶ Start of Month: Albert's Notification

At the beginning of each month, Albert automatically sends the employee a notification on their channel (email, Slack, Teams, or Google Chat) to let them know their monthly mission is available.

Depending on your configuration, they can then start their mission directly or are redirected to their user portal: app.tryriot.com

❷ What an Employee Sees: the Monthly Mission

Once on their portal, the employee sees their monthly mission with:

  • A clear list of tasks to complete

  • The deadline (generally end of month)

❸ Possible Tasks in a Mission

Depending on your configuration and the activated modules, a mission can include:

  • Awareness: an assessment (quiz) and awareness training courses

  • Breaches: an acknowledgment of receipt following a data breach alert

  • Sonar: a review of data shares (via applications or sensitive files).

❹ Aura: the Engagement Score

Aura is an engagement score (not a security score):

  • It rewards task completion and consistency.

  • It does not decrease.

❺ Streak (Series)

A streak builds up when an employee completes missions over consecutive months.

  • If a mission is not completed, the streak resets to 0.

❻ Squads and Leaderboards (If Activated)

If your organization activates leaderboard features:

  • Employees can join or form a squad (if they are not already in one).

  • They see a leaderboard and their contribution to collective progress.

These features remain optional: they can be disabled by administrators.

❼ Notifications: What to Expect


An employee may receive:

  • A notification at the launch of the mission

  • Reminders during the month (depending on progress and the configuration chosen by administrators)

Available channels depend on your configuration (email, Slack, Teams, Google Chat).

❽ Frequent Cases

8.1) An Employee Joins the Company Mid-Month

The employee receives an onboarding mission.

  • Completed before the 15th: the employee can join the current month's mission.

  • After the 15th: the employee waits until the following month to start the monthly mission.

8.2) A Mission Is Not Completed at End of Month

Incomplete tasks may be carried over to subsequent months (within a certain limit). Aura is retained for what has been completed, and the Streak resets to 0.

8.3) Something Urgent Blocks the Mission

If an urgent and sensitive task appears (e.g., phishing remediation course, critical Sonar leak alert, etc.), the employee must handle it as a priority before resuming the mission.
