☝️ If you don’t have access to Cyber Missions yet, that’s normal. The update to this new system is coming very soon.
❶ How Does a Cyber Mission Work?
Cyber Missions organize the employee experience around a monthly cycle: one mission, one deadline, then a fresh start on the 1st of each month.
❷ The Monthly Cycle
Mission start: a new mission is available on the 1st of the month (or on the planned launch date).
During the month: the employee completes tasks at their own pace.
Deadline: the mission must be completed before the deadline.
End of mission: the mission closes and a new cycle begins the following month.
❸ What Does a Mission Contain?
A mission groups several tasks, depending on your configuration and the activated modules:
Awareness: includes Albert training courses configured in the awareness program, as well as monthly assessments (based on previously covered topics).
Breaches: includes data breach alerts related to their accounts (professional and personal email addresses, as preferred).
Sonar: includes data leak alerts (requests to review their applications or most sensitive files).
As you adopt new Riot modules, missions can include more tasks.
❹ Why Can Two Employees Have Different Missions?
The content of a mission depends in particular on:
Audiences / populations (e.g., Sales vs. Tech)
The employee's progress (what has already been completed)
The modules activated in your workspace
❺ What Happens If an Urgent Task Appears?
If an urgent and priority task needs to be handled (e.g., phishing remediation course, critical Sonar leak alert, etc.), the employee will need to address it as a priority before continuing their mission.
❻ New Employees (Joining Mid-Month)
A new employee receives an onboarding mission.
If the onboarding mission is completed before the 15th: the employee can join the current month's mission.
After the 15th: the employee waits until the following month to start their mission.
❼ What Happens If the Mission Is Not Completed?
Incomplete tasks may be carried over to subsequent months, with a limit on the number of carried-over tasks per month to avoid an excessive accumulation effect and to prevent discouraging the employee.
The employee keeps their Aura score for tasks already completed.
The Streak resets to 0.
❽ Notifications and Reminders
Depending on your organization's configuration, the employee may receive:
A notification at the launch of the mission
Up to 4 notifications during the month based on their progress
Possible channels include email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Google Chat (depending on your configuration).
