Activate/deactivate an employee

This article explains how to activate or deactivate an employee on your Riot platform.

👍 Good to know : To avoid having to manually deactivate many employees (or risk an additional cost if their licences remain active) make sure to import only the people affected by the use of the platform.

Deactivating an employee will immediately stop phishing emails / Albert courses being sent. However, this will not erase the employee's progress.

You can activate/deactivate employees directly from a group. To do this, go to Team > Groups, select a group and then select all the employees. The 2 buttons will appear at the bottom of the window.

1️⃣ In what situation(s) should a member of staff be deactivated ?

  • He/she is no longer part of your workforce.

  • He/she was synchronised by mistake and is not concerned by the Riot modules.

  • He/she should no longer receive any content (phishing, courses, notifications) from Riot.

  • It's a generic address.

2️⃣ In what situation(s) should a member of staff be activated ?

  • The employee is marked as ‘deactivated’ but he/she is concerned by the Riot modules.

  • He/she has recently joined your teams and appears on the platform since the last synchronisation (or manual addition).

3️⃣ Activate/deactivate on the platform

  1. From the menu Team > Employees, select one or more employees.

  2. Click on the Activate/Deactivate button at the bottom center of your screen.

  3. Once confirmed, the action takes immediate effect.
